Spring Mills Cardinals (Martinsburg, WV) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Martinsburg Bulldogs (Martinsburg, WV), 49-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Spring Mills upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Morgantown (Morgantown, WV) to play the Mohigans in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Mohigans come into the bout with a record of 16-1. Morgantown won 52-48 in their recent league bout against Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV)

The Bulldogs now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they host Washington for a Eastern Panhandle test on Tuesday, February 7. Martinsburg will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 56-45 league loss to Musselman (Inwood, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 2-13.
