The Mt. Blue Cougars basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Messalonskee Eagles to 50 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Camden Hills for a A North contest on Thursday, February 9.

The Eagles (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Nokomis (Newport, ME). The Warriors enter the A North contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Nokomis nudged Lawrence (Fairfield, ME), 43-41, in a league contest.
