The Metro Deaf Cheetahs basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf Trojans to 33 in the Cheetahs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cheetahs now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wisconsin School for the Deaf for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4. Metro Deaf will battle a Firebirds team coming off a 46-6 non-league win over Iowa School for the Deaf (Council Bluffs, IA). The Firebirds record now stands at 3-14.

The Trojans (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Iowa School for the Deaf (Council Bluffs, IA). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Iowa School for the Deaf was defeated by Wisconsin School for the Deaf (Delavan, WI), 46-6, in a non-league contest.
