Underwood Eagles (Underwood, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Missouri Valley Big Reds (Missouri Valley, IA), 79-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Underwood upgrades its record to 17-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Treynor (Treynor, IA) to clash with the Cardinals in a Western Iowa bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Treynor won 66-32 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Albert (Council Bluffs, IA)

Next up, the Big Reds confront the West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Missouri Valley will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 50-36 non-league loss to Kingsley-Pierson (Kingsley, IA).
