Maine High School Basketball - Mount View thwarts Waterville

The Mount View Mustangs (Thorndike, ME) basketball knocked off the visiting Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME), 49-41 in Friday's league test.
The Mustangs (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME). The Huskies go into the B North test with a 4-12 record. In their last test, Maine Central Institute notched a victory over Leavitt (Turner, ME), 53-34, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Medomak Valley for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. Waterville will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 57-44 non-league loss to Winslow (Winslow, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 13-5.
