Pickford Panthers (Pickford, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newberry Indians (Newberry, MI), 69-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pickford upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Panthers host Cheboygan (Cheboygan, MI) to clash with the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Cheboygan lost 68-28 in their recent league bout against St.Ignace (St. Ignace, MI)

Next up, the Indians clash with the Brimley Bays (Brimley, MI) in a Eastern Upper Peninsula bout, on Friday, February 10. Newberry will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record.
