The Nonnewaug Chiefs basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Terryville Kangaroos to 31 in the Chiefs league triumph on Friday.

The Chiefs now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomaston for a Berkshire contest on Tuesday, February 7. Nonnewaug will battle a Bears team coming off a 59-34 league loss to Gilbert (Winsted, CT). The Bears record now stands at 4-13.

The Kangaroos (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 0-14 record. In their last contest, Housatonic-Wamogo was defeated by Gilbert (Winsted, CT), 75-35, in a non-league contest.
