Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA) and the visiting Sullivan County Griffins (Laporte, PA), saw Northwest Area's basketball squad overcome Sullivan County by a tally of 50-31.

With the victory, Northwest Area improves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Rangers host Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA) to confront the Rams in a Midd-Penn challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 0-13. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech lost 67-46 in their recent league challenge against Sullivan County (Laporte, PA)

Next up, the Griffins confront the Benton Tigers (Benton, PA) in a Midd-Penn challenge, on Friday, February 10. Sullivan County will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 60-37 non-league loss to North Penn-Liberty (Liberty, PA).
