The Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines basketball team (Athens, GA), was nudged 49-46 in Friday's league battle with the host Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA)
The Patriots now possess a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jasper County for a A D1 Region 5 battle on Tuesday, February 7. Oglethorpe County will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 47-40 non-league win over McNair (Atlanta, GA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 9-13.
The Wolverines (12-11) will now prepare for their battle against Social Circle (Social Circle, GA). The Redskins come into the A D1 Region 5 battle with a 13-10 record. In their last battle, Social Circle was nudged by Eastside (Covington, GA), 50-40, in a non-league battle.
