Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) and the visiting Oregon Episcopal Aardvarks (Portland, OR), saw Western Christian's basketball squad hold off Oregon Episcopal by a tally of 66-65.

With the victory, Western Christian improves its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Salem Academy (Salem, OR) to confront the Crusaders in a 2A Tri-River challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 15-4. Salem Academy won 53-46 in their recent league challenge against Willamina (Willamina, OR)

Next up, the Aardvarks confront the De La Salle North Catholic Knights (Portland, OR) in a 3A Lewis & Clark challenge, on Monday, February 6. Oregon Episcopal will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 20-2 record after their 75-29 league win over Horizon Christian (Tualatin, OR).
