Texas High School Basketball - Paris edges Pleasant Grove

The Paris Wildcats (Paris, TX) basketball nipped the host Pleasant Grove Hawks (Texarkana, TX), 62-56 in Friday's league test.
The Wildcats (14-8) will now prepare for their test against Liberty-Eylau (Texarkana, TX). The Leopards go into the 4A Region II District 15 test with a 16-4 record. In their last test, Liberty-Eylau was tipped by Sulphur Springs (Sulphur Springs, TX), 66-46, in a league test.
The Hawks now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Pittsburg for a 4A Region II District 15 test on Tuesday, February 7. Pleasant Grove will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 49-42 league loss to North Lamar (Paris, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 6-22.
