Peach County Trojans (Fort Valley, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA), 66-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Peach County upgrades its record to 5-18 on the campaign. The Trojans host Jackson (Jackson, GA) to play the Red Devils in a AAA Region 2 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 9-14. Jackson lost 81-53 in their recent non-league bout against Westside (Macon, GA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA) in a AAA Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Pike County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-19 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 17-6 record after their 58-41 league win over Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA).
