In Friday's league outing, the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines (Alamo, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas (Pharr, TX), by a count of 70-46.

The Wolverines (6-15) will now prepare for their outing against Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Sabercats go into the 5A Region IV District 31 outing with a 22-12 record. In their last outing, Vela smashed Pioneer (Mission, TX), 75-49, in a league outing.

The Javelinas now hold a 3-22 record. They play next when they host McAllen Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 31 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 47-41 league loss to Rowe (McAllen, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 24-6.
