North Carolina High School Basketball - Scotland nudges Pinecrest

February 3, 2023: Laurinburg, NC 28352

In Friday's league outing, the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), by a count of 81-78.

The Fighting Scots (17-4) will now prepare for their outing against Westover (Fayetteville, NC). The Wolverines go into the non-league outing with a 16-6 record. In their last outing, Westover held off Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC), 64-47, in a league outing.

The Patriots now hold a 12-9 record. They play next when they host Hoke County for a 3A/4A Conference 24 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Pinecrest will clash with a Bucks squad coming off a 68-47 league win over Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Bucks record now stands at 10-13.
