Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Pinon Eagles (Pinon, AZ) and the host St. Johns Redskins (St. Johns, AZ), saw Pinon's basketball squad hold off St. Johns by a tally of 66-63.
With the victory, Pinon improves its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Round Valley (Eagar, AZ) to confront the Elks in a 2A North challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Elks come into the challenge with a record of 18-7. Round Valley won 60-22 in their recent league challenge against Hopi (Keams Canyon, AZ)
