The Whitesboro Bearcats basketball team (Whitesboro, TX), dropped 59-41 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX)
The Lions now possess a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Callisburg for a 3A Region II District 10 battle on Saturday, February 4. Ponder will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 54-52 league loss to Pilot Point (Pilot Point, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-18.
The Bearcats (11-12) will now prepare for their battle against Valley View (Valley View, TX). The Eagles come into the 3A Region II District 10 battle with a 13-16 record. In their last battle, Valley View beat S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX), 61-54, in a league battle.
