The Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats (Skidmore, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX), 27-23 in Friday's league test.
The Bobcats (23-5) will now prepare for their test against Yorktown (Yorktown, TX). The Wildcats go into the 2A Region IV District 31 test with a 3-24 record. In their last test, Yorktown was tipped by Refugio (Refugio, TX), 40-33, in a league test.
The Marlins now own a 22-9 record. They play next when they host Woodsboro for a 2A Region IV District 31 test on Tuesday, February 7. Port Aransas will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 47-44 league loss to Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 9-15.
