South Carolina High School Basketball - Westwood can't hold off Ridge View

February 3, 2023: Columbia, SC 29229

The Ridge View Blazers basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Westwood Redhawks to 66 in the Blazers league triumph on Friday.

The Blazers now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richland Northeast for a AAAA Region 5 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Ridge View will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 50-41 league loss to Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 11-12.

The Redhawks (11-13) will now prepare for their contest against Irmo (Columbia, SC). The Yellowjackets enter the AAAA Region 5 bout with a 19-5 record. In their last bout, Irmo held off A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC), 48-41, in a league bout.
