River Road Wildcats (Amarillo, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Tulia Hornets (Tulia, TX), 71-16 in a league bout.

With the victory, River Road upgrades its record to 10-16 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Dalhart (Dalhart, TX) to play the Wolves in a 3A Region I District 1 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 11-16. Dalhart lost 39-37 in their recent league bout against Bushland (Bushland, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Spearman Lynx (Spearman, TX) in a 3A Region I District 1 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Tulia will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Lynx come into the bout with a 15-9 record after their 52-50 league loss to Canadian (Canadian, TX).
