In Friday's league outing, the Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, MA) basketball squad edged the host Stoneham Spartans (Stoneham, MA), by a margin of 66-63.
The Wildcats (1-15) will now prepare for their outing against Watertown (Watertown, MA). The Red Raiders go into the Middlesex outing with a 7-7 record. In their last outing, Watertown held off Burlington (Burlington, MA), 53-48, in a league outing.
The Spartans now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they travel to Lynnfield for a non-league outing on Sunday, February 5. Stoneham will clash with a Pioneers squad coming off a 47-36 league win over Pentucket Regional (West Newbury, MA). The Pioneers record now stands at 10-6.
