Valwood Valiants (Valdosta, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Terrell Academy Eagles (Dawson, GA), 64-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Valwood upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Valiants host Brookwood (Thomasville, GA) to play the Warriors in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 bout on Monday, February 6. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 18-6. Brookwood lost 50-49 in their recent league bout against Southland Academy (Americus, GA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Tiftarea Academy Panthers (Chula, GA) in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Terrell Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record.
