Wilcox County Patriots (Rochelle, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Treutlen Vikings (Soperton, GA), 68-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Wilcox County upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Patriots host Crisp County (Cordele, GA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 13-9. Crisp County won 71-67 in their recent league bout against Carver (Columbus, GA)

Next up, the Vikings play the West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Treutlen will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 5-18 record after their 74-43 league loss to Baldwin (Milledgeville, GA).
