North Dakota High School Basketball - Westhope/Newburg can't hold off Velva

The Velva Aggies basketball team scored 76 points and restricted the host Westhope/Newburg Sioux to 73 in the Aggies league victory on Friday.

The Aggies now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood for a non-league contest on Monday, February 13.

The Sioux (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] (Rolette, ND). The Comets come into the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] edged Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] (Leeds, ND), 59-22, in a league contest.
