Wright Red Devils (Ironwood, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wakefield Cardinals (Wakefield, MI), 67-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Wright upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Red Devils host Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI) to play the Gladiators in a Copper Mountain - Porcupine bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Gladiators go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Ontonagon won 54-47 in their recent league bout against Johnston (Bessemer, MI)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Hurley Northstars (Hurley, WI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Wakefield will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Northstars go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 64-58 non-league loss to Reedsville (Reedsville, WI).
