The St. Pius X Sartans basketball team (Albuquerque, NM), was nudged 39-38 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Belen Eagles (Belen, NM)
The Eagles now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 7. Belen will confront a Hornets team coming off a 60-41 non-league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 3-11.
The Sartans (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Grants (Grants, NM). The Pirates come into the non-league battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Grants edged Valencia (Los Lunas, NM), 33-27, in a non-league battle.
