In Friday's non-league outing, the West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting South County Stallions (Lorton, VA), by a count of 68-63.
The Spartans (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against West Potomac (Alexandria, VA). The Wolverines go into the non-league outing with a 14-0 record. In their last outing, West Potomac held off Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA), 56-48, in a non-league outing.
The Stallions now hold a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Fairfax for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 7. South County will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 67-45 non-league loss to Robinson (Fairfax, VA). The Lions record now stands at 2-12.
