Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA), 62-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Academy for Classical Education upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Gryphons travel to Southwest (Macon, GA) to play the Patriots in a AA Region 2 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 7-14. Southwest lost 34-32 in their recent league bout against Kendrick (Columbus, GA)

Next up, the Hurricanes play the Kendrick Cherokees (Columbus, GA) in a AA Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Rutland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-20 season record. The Cherokees go into the bout with a 4-18 record after their 34-32 league win over Southwest (Macon, GA).
