The Appling County Pirates basketball team (Baxley, GA), was overwhelmed 48-19 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA)

The Herons now possess a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charlton County for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 4. Brantley County will confront a Indians team coming off a 67-55 league loss to Clinch County (Homerville, GA). The Indians record now stands at 10-12.

The Pirates (4-13) will now prepare for their battle against Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league battle with a 2-18 record. In their last battle, Jeff Davis was overwhelmed by Worth County (Sylvester, GA), 57-31, in a league battle.
