Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), 65-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Asheville upgrades its record to 20-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC) to clash with the Black Hawks in a 3A/4A Conference 53 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Black Hawks go into the bout with a record of 9-12. North Buncombe lost 57-46 in their recent league bout against Enka (Enka, NC)

Next up, the Titans clash with the Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 53 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. McDowell will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 60-24 league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).
