Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN), 80-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Monticello upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Magic host Eden Valley-Watkins (Eden Valley, MN) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-11. Eden Valley-Watkins lost 58-34 in their recent league bout against Albany (Albany, MN)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the North Branch Vikings (North Branch, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Big Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record.
