The Eustace Bulldogs (Eustace, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Blooming Grove Lions (Blooming Grove, TX), 40-37 in Friday's league test.
The Bulldogs (14-18) will now prepare for their test against Mildred (Corsicana, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region III District 18 test with a 26-5 record. In their last test, Mildred got by Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX), 56-50, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 15-18 record. They play next when they host Palmer for a 3A Region III District 18 test on Tuesday, February 7. Blooming Grove will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 46-30 league loss to Malakoff (Malakoff, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 23-12.
