Louise Hornets (Louise, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats (Bloomington, TX), 27-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Louise upgrades its record to 2-19 on the season. The Hornets host Shiner (Shiner, TX) to play the Comanches in a 2A Region IV District 28 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Comanches go into the bout with a record of 24-3. Shiner won 53-33 in their recent league bout against Schulenburg (Schulenburg, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats/Lady Cats play the Ganado Indians (Ganado, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 28 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Bloomington will attempt to upgrade on its 3-19 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 16-15 record after their 45-33 league loss to Weimar (Weimar, TX).
