The Bovina Mustangs basketball team (Bovina, TX), was toppled 70-56 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX)
The Longhorns now possess a 9-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Farwell for a 2A Region I District 3 battle on Tuesday, February 7. Vega will confront a Steers team coming off a 72-23 league win over Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX). The Steers record now stands at 26-5.
The Mustangs (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against Panhandle (Panhandle, TX). The Panthers come into the 2A Region I District 3 battle with a 15-1 record.
