California High School Basketball - Central edges Brawley

The Central Spartans (El Centro, CA) basketball nipped the host Brawley Wildcats (Brawley, CA), 47-45 in Friday's league test.

The Spartans (13-12) will now prepare for their test against Holtville (Holtville, CA). The Vikings go into the Imperial Valley test with a 14-11 record. In their last test, Holtville was tipped by Imperial (Imperial, CA), 41-20, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 6-20 record. They play next when they travel to Imperial for a Imperial Valley contest on Tuesday, February 7. Brawley will battle a Tigers team coming off a 58-34 league win over Calexico (Calexico, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 22-4.
