In Friday's league match, the host Buena Vista Longhorns basketball squad scored a big 77-22 win over the Sanderson Eagles.
The Longhorns (16-10) will now prepare for their test against Comstock (Comstock, TX). The Panthers go into the 1A Region II District 10 test with a 0-11 record. In their last test, Comstock was trounced by Iraan (Iraan, TX), 61-16, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they host Rankin for a 1A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, February 7. Sanderson will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 63-51 league win over Grandfalls-Royalty (Grandfalls, TX). The Red Devils record now stands at 11-11.
