Fans at Friday's league challenge between the McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR) and the host Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR), saw McLoughlin's basketball squad wallop Burns by a tally of 58-18.

With the victory, McLoughlin improves its record to 3-13 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Nyssa (Nyssa, OR) to confront the Bulldogs in a 3A Eastern Oregon challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 16-4. Nyssa won 60-19 in their recent league challenge against Umatilla (Umatilla, OR)

Next up, the Hilanders confront the Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon challenge, on Saturday, February 4. Burns will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 7-14 record after their 51-11 league loss to Vale (Vale, OR).
