Byron Bears (Byron, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN), 61-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Byron upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Bears travel to Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Plainview-Elgin-Millville won 77-38 in their recent league bout against Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) in a AA Section 1 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Pine Island will attempt to upgrade on its 0-20 season record.
