The Cannon County Lions (Woodbury, TN) basketball crushed the host Watertown Purple Tigers (Watertown, TN), 55-31 in Friday's league test.
The Lions (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Meigs County (Decatur, TN). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Meigs County was trounced by Silverdale Academy (Chattanooga, TN), 36-32, in a non-league test.
The Purple Tigers now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they host Trousdale County for a non-league test on Monday, February 6. Watertown will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 62-28 non-league loss to Red Boiling Springs (Red Boiling Springs, TN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 9-12.
