In Friday's league outing, the Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) basketball squad nipped the visiting Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM), by a margin of 42-36.
The Cavemen (20-2) will now prepare for their outing against Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Wildcats go into the 5A District 4 outing with a 17-4 record. In their last outing, Clovis got by Roswell (Roswell, NM), 61-31, in a league outing.
The Eagles now own a 18-3 record. They play next when they host Roswell for a 5A District 4 outing on Tuesday, February 7. Hobbs will encounter a Coyotes squad coming off a 61-31 league loss to Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Coyotes record now stands at 9-13.
