Oakland Wildcats (Oakland, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Castlemont Knights (Oakland, CA), 61-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Oakland upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Wildcats host Campolindo (Moraga, CA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-14. Campolindo lost 33-32 in their recent league bout against Las Lomas (Walnut Creek, CA)

Next up, the Knights play the Fremont Tigers (Oakland, CA) in a Oakland bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Castlemont will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 36-11 league loss to Skyline (Oakland, CA).
