Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves (Hillsborough, NC), 69-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Western Alamance upgrades its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Person (Roxboro, NC) to play the Rockets in a 3A Conference 25 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Rockets come into the bout with a record of 0-20. Person lost 58-23 in their recent league bout against Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC)

Next up, the Fighting Red Wolves play the Williams Bulldogs (Burlington, NC) in a 3A Conference 25 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Cedar Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 56-55 league win over Western Alamance (Elon, NC).
