The Chestatee War Eagles basketball team (Gainesville, GA), was nudged 62-58 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA)
The Bears now possess a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison County for a AAAA Region 8B battle on Tuesday, February 7. Cherokee Bluff will confront a Red Raiders team coming off a 47-36 league loss to Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 7-15.
The War Eagles (17-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA). The Jaguars come into the AAAA Region 8B battle with a 10-14 record. In their last battle, Cedar Shoals was nudged by Warner Robins (Warner Robins, GA), 50-40, in a non-league battle.
