Christ the King Crusaders (Huntersville, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pine Lake Prep Pride (Mooresville, NC), 44-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Christ the King upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 4-14. Gray Stone Day won 30-28 in their recent league bout against Robinson (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Pride play the Lincoln Charter Eagles (Denver, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 39 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Pine Lake Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 17-4 record after their 48-35 league win over Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC).
