Grape Creek Eagles (San Angelo, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Clyde Bulldogs (Clyde, TX), 39-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Grape Creek upgrades its record to 5-20 on the season. The Eagles travel to Ballinger (Ballinger, TX) to play the Bearcats in a 3A Region I District 6 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 19-12. Ballinger won 69-31 in their recent non-league bout against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy (San Angelo, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy Eagles (San Angelo, TX) in a 3A Region I District 6 bout, on Saturday, February 4. Clyde will attempt to upgrade on its 13-18 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-24 record after their 69-31 non-league loss to Ballinger (Ballinger, TX).
