Muenster Hornets (Muenster, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Collinsville Pirates (Collinsville, TX), 47-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Muenster upgrades its record to 24-6 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Lindsay (Lindsay, TX) to play the Knights in a 2A Region II District 13 bout on Saturday, February 4. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 14-6. Lindsay won 65-34 in their recent league bout against Alvord (Alvord, TX)

Next up, the Pirates play the Lindsay Knights (Lindsay, TX) in a 2A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Collinsville will attempt to upgrade on its 17-13 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 42-38 league win over Muenster (Muenster, TX).
