Copper Basin Cougars (Copperhill, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lookout Valley Yellowjackets (Chattanooga, TN), 49-14 in a league bout.

With the win, Copper Basin upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The Cougars host Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 3-18. Gordon Central lost 56-9 in their recent league bout against Model (Rome, GA)

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy Mustangs (Chattanooga, TN) in a 1A District 5 bout, on Monday, February 6. Lookout Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 65-8 league loss to Sale Creek (Sale Creek, TN).
