The Crownpoint Eagles basketball team (Crownpoint, NM), was nudged 35-30 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM)
The Cougars now possess a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thoreau for a 3A District 1 battle on Wednesday, February 8. Tohatchi will battle a Hawks team coming off a 63-43 non-league win over Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 14-8.
The Eagles (13-9) will now prepare for their battle against Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Thunderbirds come into the 3A District 1 battle with a 11-7 record.
