Fans at Friday's league challenge between the East Nicolaus Spartans (Nicolaus, CA) and the visiting Live Oak Lions (Live Oak, CA), saw East Nicolaus's basketball squad knock off Live Oak by a count of 51-39.

With the victory, East Nicolaus upgrades its record to 20-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Paradise (Paradise, CA) to play the Bobcats in a Sacramento Valley challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-14.

Next up, the Lions play the Willows Honkers (Willows, CA) in a Sacramento Valley challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Live Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 8-16 season record.
