Eastview Lightning (Apple Valley, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Shakopee Sabers (Shakopee, MN), 42-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eastview upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Lightning travel to Eagan (Eagan, MN) to clash with the Wildcats in a AAAA Section 3 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Eagan won 61-45 in their recent non-league bout against Farmington (Farmington, MN)

Next up, the Sabers clash with the Rosemount Irish (Rosemount, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Shakopee will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Irish go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 57-21 league win over Park (Cottage Grove, MN).
