Georgia High School Basketball - Emanuel County Institute knocked off by Jenkins County

The Jenkins County War Eagles basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs to 35 in the War Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The War Eagles now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Hampstead for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Jenkins County will battle a Phoenix team coming off a 46-44 league loss to Islands (Savannah, GA). The Phoenix record now stands at 9-11.

The Bulldogs (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA). The Buccaneers enter the A D2 Region 3 contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, McIntosh County Academy ran past Portal (Portal, GA), 70-47, in a league contest.
